The following steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be accomplished analogously on the right side in the event of damage.
- Expose spot welds on mounting support (1) (areas A, B, and C).
- Cut off spot welds on mounting support (1) (areas A, B, and C).
- Remove damaged mounting support (1).
- Sand down mating surfaces to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.
- Remove shavings and milling chips.
