Networking, On-Board Electrical System - SN00.00-D-0080-12A
Model 907 with engine 642, 651
Overall network model 907, left-hand drive vehicle
Overall network model 910, left-hand drive vehicle
Parameterizable special module (PSM) control unit
The parameterizable special module (PSM) control unit is networked, as standard, via the interior CAN and the body manufacturer CAN. The body manufacturer CAN can be internally switched so that it can work in two operating modes:
- Body manufacturer CAN, standard: CANopen, CiA 447-3
- Peripherals CAN, standard: FMS 1.0 and ISO 11992-2/3
The following control units can, among other things, be connected to the body manufacturer CAN:
- Digital tachograph (DTCO) control unit
- FleetBoard control unit
- Retarder control unit
Optional peripherals that fulfill the CiA 447-3 Standard can be connected to the peripherals CAN, e. g. signaling system for emergency vehicles or two-way radios.
Battery
The starter battery is located in the driver footwell under a cover. With the equipment code E2I (Auxiliary battery for retrofitted consumers, interior), a deep-cycle-resistant fleece battery with 12 V/92 Ah is installed in the front passenger seat box in addition to the standard battery. The auxiliary battery is only available in combination with code E36 (Cutoff relay for additional battery). This relay prevents the starter battery from being discharged by the consumers that are connected to the auxiliary battery.
If installation in the front passenger seat box is not possible due to restrictions, the code E2M (Auxiliary battery for retrofitted consumers, engine compartment) is available in the Sprinter model 907. The 12 V/70 Ah auxiliary battery is installed on the left-hand side when viewed in the direction of travel. Furthermore, the code E2M (Auxiliary battery for retrofitted consumers, engine compartment) is freely selectable.
Solely the following equipment are connected to the auxiliary battery at the plant:
- Code EV3 (Pre-installation for elect. scope for cargo liftgate)
- Code H11 (Hot-air auxiliary heater)
- Code EE1 (230 V socket)
- Code ES5 (Socket 12 V, instrument panel)
- Code P57 (Pre-installation for three-way dump truck)
- Code PV1 (Pre-installation for retrofitting cargo lift gate)
- Code V85 (Smoker's package)
- Code E1I (Smartphone cradle)
- Code E1U (USB socket 5 V)
- Code ES2 (Trunk/load compartment 12 V socket)
- Code E46 (Socket, in cab)
Fuses
The fuses are assigned to different fuse boxes:
- Fuse box in front passenger footwell
- Fuse box in driver's seat base
Alternator
The Sprinter model 907 is equipped as standard with a 14 V/180 A alternator. In addition, the following special equipment or variants are available:
- Code M40 (14 V/200 A alternator) in model 907 with code MJ8 (ECO start/stop function), standard
- Code M46 (14 V/220 A alternator) in model 907 with engine OM 642 except code MJ8 (ECO start/stop function), optional
- Code M60 (14 V/250 A alternator) in model 907, optional
