Maintenance strategy 

The new Sprinter is subject to maintenance according to the new maintenance logic. The maintenance scopes, in particular of service A and service B, were recompiled according to process-related and vehicle-related criteria. Service A and Service B always apply alternately.

In model 907, the oil change interval is 60,000 km or up to 2 years. The engine oil filling capacity of the diesel engine OM 651 in model 907 has with 11.5 l been taken over from the predecessor model 906, the same applies for the engine oil filling capacity of the diesel engine OM 642 with 12.5 l. The vehicle-specific additional maintenance work is subject to the following intervals:

• Replace brake fluid - every 2 years
• Replace air filter element - every 120,000 km or every 4 years
• Replace diesel fuel filter - every 80,000 km or every 4 years
• Replace coolant - every 360,000 km or every 15 years
• Transmission oil change (manual transmission) - every 320,000 km or every 10 years
• Transmission oil change (automatic transmission) - initially during 1st service, then every 120,000 km
