Multimedia and communications systems
The following Mercedes-Benz audio systems are available for selection:
- With code E10 (Entrance radio)
- With code E3M (MBUX multimedia system with 7-inch touchscreen)
Code ER0 (Pre-installation for radio) is available as special equipment for the installation of customer devices. A 1-DIN radio recess with a bezel in the center of the cockpit is provided for retrofitting.
Radio preinstallation
The pre-installation for radio (with code ER0 (Pre-installation for radio)) is equipped with an AM/FM antenna, a 12-V power supply, and a linkup for the front 2-way speakers. The 1-DIN radio recess is located behind the bezel in the center of the cockpit.
Vehicles with a pre-installation for radio do not support functions via the CAN bus. The radio cannot be controlled via the multifunction steering wheel and radio information cannot be displayed in the instrument cluster.
Mercedes-Benz audio system
It is operated via buttons directly on the 1-DIN device in the center console. A further 1-DIN recess below the radio remains free and can be used for storage, for example.
The audio system with code E1O (Entrance radio), which includes front 2-way speakers and an antenna, offers not only analog radio reception, but also a Bluetooth® interface with hands-free function and a USB interface.
MBUX multimedia system with 7-inch touchscreen
The audio system with code E3M (MBUX multimedia system with 7-inch touchscreen) contains the following basic elements and functions:
- High-resolution 7-inch touchscreen (960 x 540 pixels)
- AM/FM radio with twin tuner
- Bluetooth® connectivity with audio streaming and hands-free function
Possibilities for operating the MBUX multimedia system
- Smartphone integration via "Android Auto" or "Apple CarPlay"
- Multimedia connection unit for connection of portable devices via a USB-C interface
- 4 x 25 W output power, tone setting, separate volume adjustment for audio and telephone
- Front 2-way speaker
2-way speaker system
2 tweeters are installed on the left and right of the instrument panel and, depending on the equipment installed, an additional speaker is installed in the center of the instrument panel. There are 4 more speakers in the side trim of the passenger or load compartment. 6 lower mid-range speakers are installed in the driver's and front passenger doors as well as the left and right rear side trims. The 2-way speaker system is installed as standard in the bus variant and is available as an option for the panel van.
The 2-way speaker system (with code EL9 (2-way speaker system front and rear)) provides excellent sound quality with 12 or 13 speakers that are distributed throughout the entire vehicle.
Additional speakers (buses only)
In addition to the 2-way speaker system on the left and right, 2 tweeters and 2 midrange speakers are installed in the rear side trim of the passenger compartment in buses (with code E77 (Additional speakers)).
Telephony
Up to 15 mobile phones can be authorized on the multimedia system. Two phone mode is possible at any time, where the second telephone can only accept incoming calls and/or messages. The user can receive, send, and manage SMS messages. There is also the option to have the SMS messages read out.

5 V USB socket
The USB C socket (with code E1U (5 V USB socket)) offers an additional charging possibility in addition to the front 12 V socket in the bottom area of the center console.
This allows electrical devices such as mobile phones, smartphones, tablets, and cameras to be charged within the driver's and front passenger's reach.
