Comfort Systems - SN00.00-D-0080-05A
Model 907 with engine 642, 651
except code ZL3 (National version for Latin America)
KEYLESS START
The new Sprinter is equipped as standard with KEYLESS START. The power supply and the ignition are activated/deactivated via the start/stop button in the instrument panel. The vehicle key has the following features and functions:
- Unlock vehicle
- Lock vehicle
- Indicator lamp
- Load compartment release/unlock as well as open/close electric sliding doors
- Emergency key
Climate control
A heating system with the following functions is part of the standard equipment of the Sprinter:
- Adjust temperature
- Activate or deactivate rear-compartment heating
- Activate or deactivate rear window heater
- Activate or deactivate footwell air distribution
- Activate or deactivate windshield defrosting
- Activate or deactivate stationary heater or heater booster (optional)
- Activate or deactivate windshield heater (optional)
Two special equipment can optionally be selected:
- CODE HH9 (Semi-automatically controlled air conditioning, TEMPMATIC)
- Code HH4 (THERMOTRONIC automatic climate control) with rear climate control
Furthermore, additional special equipment are available for the climate control:
- Code H13 (Rear additional heat exchanger)
- Code H12 (Auxiliary water heater)
- Code H11 (Hot-air auxiliary heater)
- Code HH7 (Basic roof-mounted air conditioning system)
- Code H08 (Uprated roof air conditioner)
- Code HK4 (Rear air conditioning system, uprated)
Code H13 (Rear additional heat exchanger)
The additional heat exchanger can be activated/deactivated from the cockpit via the air conditioning control panel in three stages. The additional heat exchanger can only be activated when the engine is running and is integrated in the existing water circuit of the front heater.
In vehicles with rear wheel drive, the heat exchanger is installed under the vehicle floor directly behind the B-pillar on the left vehicle underside. The air duct in the rear is installed on the left vehicle interior on the wood and/or plastic floor.
In vehicles with front wheel drive, the heat exchanger is installed directly on the wood and/or plastic floor behind the B-pillar. The air duct in the rear is thus omitted.
Code H11 (Hot-air auxiliary heater)
The fuel-fired hot-air auxiliary heater for closed vehicle model designations with rear wheel drive can be used for a heating output of 3.5 kW both with and without the engine running. Via an operating unit with an integrated, programmable switch clock, the desired vehicle interior temperature can be set and/or preselected. The background-lit pixel matrix display with large buttons facilitates access to all menu functions, e. g. the timer programming. The operating unit is installed, depending on the vehicle configuration, in the front roof lining above the windshield or below the instrument panel on the front passenger side in the cockpit.
Code HK4 (Rear air conditioning system, uprated)
The high-performance roof air-conditioning system available for vehicles with rear wheel drive is installed on the rear part of the roof and partially in the vehicle interior and cools down the rear compartment to a comfortable temperature. The system is supplied via its own compressor and achieves a max. cooling output of approx. 11 kW via two evaporators and blowers. The system works in fresh air mode and air-recirculation mode. The interior air quality is improved by a filter for the pollen and air particles. Temperature and air flow can be activated and set in a differentiated manner for the rear area via the central air conditioning control panel.
The air conditioning systems are filled in the Sprinter registered as a truck with the refrigerant R134a and in the Sprinter registered as a passenger vehicle with the coolant R1234yf.
