	Check
	Risk of fire and explosion  caused by ignition of window washing fluid or antifreeze and their vapors. Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing window washing fluid or antifreeze or inhaling their vapors. Risk of injury  or physical irritations caused by contact of window washing fluid or antifreeze with eyes, mucous membranes or skin.	Wear protective clothing and tight-fitting safety glasses. No fire, naked flames or ignition sources. Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes and skin. When working with window washing fluids or antifreeze, do not eat, drink, or smoke. Do not inhale vapors and ensure sufficient ventilation in the working area. Store window washing fluid and antifreeze leakfree in safely closed original containers and out of the reach of children. 	Injury hazard from pinching and crushing, in extreme cases extremities can even be cut off when caught in windshield wiper mechanism.	Always remove ignition key when working on windshield wiper mechanism.	AS82.30-Z-0001-01A

3	Switch on ignition
4	Check function of spray nozzles for windshield washer system on windshield and the setting	MODEL 171, 172	AP82.35-P-8252-01V
		MODEL 230 The spray jet must hit the windshield in the marked area. Correct the adjustment if necessary. MODEL 171, 230: If necessary correct setting using adjusting drift. MODEL 172: If necessary, correct setting using suitable flat tip screwdriver 3X0.5 mm.	AP82.35-P-8252-01R
		Model 171, 230 Adjusting tool For clogged up spray nozzle: ↓ Clean spray nozzle using suitable needle and/or blow out with compressed air from inside out or replace spray nozzle subject to separate invoice.	Fig 5
5	Check park position of wiper blades	The wiper blades must not come into contact with the A-pillar or cowl. Otherwise the body or wiper mechanism will be damaged. In the event of any deviation to the park position: ↓ Check and adjust wiper arms subject to separate repair order.
6	Check setting of wiper arms on windshield	The wiper blades must not come into contact with the A-pillar or cowl. The body or wiper mechanism will otherwise be damaged. Spray water over the windshield washer system on the windshield and switch on wiper at highest setting. If there are problems: ↓ Determine and rectify cause, subject to separate repair order.
7	Switch on low beam	MODEL 171, 230 with CODE 600 (Headlamp cleaning system) or with CODE 612 (Xenon headlamp unit) or with CODE 614 (Bi-xenon headlamp unit) MODEL 172 with CODE 600 (Headlamp cleaning system) or with CODE 622 (Intelligent Light System)
8.1	Press HCS [SRA] switch (S1s1)	MODEL 171, 230 with CODE 600 (Headlamp cleaning system) or with CODE 612 (Xenon headlamp unit) or with CODE 614 (Bi-xenon headlamp unit) Vehicles with HCS [SRA] switch (S1s1) The spray jet must impact in the light source area on the headlamp lens. Correct setting if necessary.
		Model 171, 230 Adjusting tool For clogged up spray nozzle: ↓ Clean spray nozzle using suitable needle and/or blow out with compressed air from inside out or replace spray nozzle subject to separate invoice. For spray nozzles that cannot be adjusted and with a deviating spray pattern: ↓ Replace spray nozzle subject to separate repair order.	Fig 5
8.2	Repeatedly operate windshield washer system of windshield	MODEL 171, 230 with CODE 600 (Headlamp cleaning system) or with CODE 612 (Xenon headlamp unit) or with CODE 614 (Bi-xenon headlamp unit) MODEL 172 with CODE 600 (Headlamp cleaning system) or with CODE 622 (Intelligent Light System) Vehicles without HCS [SRA] switch (S1s1) Repeatedly operate windshield washer system for windshield until the headlamp cleaning system is activated. The spray jet must impact in the light source area on the headlamp lens. Correct setting if necessary.
