  1. Remove angle gauge (A) from the SPECIAL TOOL adjustment tool set
  2. SPECIAL TOOL Insert adapter (B) into guide of angle gauge (A) and fix in place with screw/bolt (6a) at angle gauge (A).
  3. Position wiper arm (1) to be adjusted in reversing position
  4. SPECIAL TOOL Slide adapter (B) together with angle gauge (A) onto wiper blade mount of wiper arm (1) to be adjusted and attach with screw/bolt (6b)

  5. Lower wiper arm (1) to be adjusted carefully onto windshield.

    IMPORTANT All three contact points at the foot of the angle gauge (A) must make contact with the windshield.

  6. Read off the angle of incidence of the wiper arm (1) to be adjusted in reversing position on the scale of the angle gauge (A), note down and compare to the corresponding specified value. Model 251.### 1# Model 251.### 2#

  7. Lift wiper arm 1) to be adjusted, loosen screw/bolt (6b) and remove SPECIAL TOOL adapter (B) together with angle gauge (A) from wiper arm (1) to be adjusted.
  8. Raise wiper arms (1), cover with appropriate aids (scratch protection) and set down on windshield.

    NOTES When changing from reversing position to parked position, ensure that the wiper arms (1) do not make direct contact with the windshield.

    Otherwise, the windshield may be scratched.

  9. Move wiper arms (1) to park position and remove aid (scratch protection) from wiper arms (1).

    Shown on driver-side wiper arm (1) 

  10. Repeat test procedures 3 to 6 at the wiper arm (1) to be adjusted in parked position. Model 164 up to 8/24/11, 166 up to 8/24/11
