The TV tuner control unit is a MOST participant and communicates over this with the head unit (A26/17).
Direct lines
The TV tuner control unit receives the following signals via direct lines:
- Power supply via circuit 31 and circuit 30t
- Electronic wake-up for MOST
- TV 1 antenna amplifier (A94/1), for TV-1 signals
- FM2, DAB and TV2 antenna amplifier (A2/138), for TV-2 signals
- TV 3 antenna amplifier (A94/3), for TV-3 signals
Processing signals
The TV tuner control unit decodes and demodulates the TV signals and separates them into video and audio signals.

MOST
The TV tuner control unit is a MOST participant and communicates over this with the head unit. The audio signals are transmitted to the head unit, to the sound system amplifier control unit (N40/3) (with code 810 (Sound system)) or to the advanced sound system amplifier control unit (N40/7) (with code 811 (Advanced sound system)).
Direct lines
The TV tuner control unit sends the following signals via direct line:
- Supply voltage to TV 1 antenna amplifier
- Supply voltage to FM2, DAB and TV2 antenna amplifier
- Supply voltage to TV 3 antenna amplifier
- Video signals via a high-speed video link (HSVL) line to the head unit (with code 865 (TV tuner))
Structure
On vehicles except code 498 (Japan version), the TV tuner control unit is equipped with a Common Interface Plus (CI+) slot in which a CI+ module is inserted. The CI+ slot is equipped with a cover.
