The windshield wiper system may only be adjusted if the check values of both wiper arms deviate from the tolerance range in parked position.

The following adjustment procedure is shown on model 204.0.

Fit angle gauge (A) from adjustment tool set to driver-side wiper arm (1).
Model 217 222

On wiper arms without Toplock system the adapter from the adjustment tool set must be used

Model 204 207 212 218

On wiper arms with Toplock system the separate adapter must be used.
Open hood.
Model 217 218 222

Do not move engine hood to upright position.
Remove cover (2) from insulation mat.
Model 204

The cover (2) is a discontinued part.
Model 212 217 218 222
Remove sealing frame in area of screw (3) remove cover above screw (3) and lift insulation mat far enough to allow access to the screw (3).
Loosen screw/bolt (3) and attach extraction hook (4) to windshield wiper system (5).
Move windshield wiper system (5) using extraction hook (4) until the correct adjustment value appears on the scale of the angle gauge (A)
Tighten screw (3) and remove extraction hook (4).
Close hood and remove angle gauge (A) from driver-side wiper arm (1).
