INSPECT Check
5 Check basic position of camshafts. IMPORTANT The edges (1a, 2a, 5a, 6a) of the partial segments of the segmented discs (1, 2, 5, 6) must be visible roughly in the middle in the openings of the position sensors of the camshafts.
If the segmented discs (1, 2, 5, 6) are not standing centrally,
↓
Continue turning engine one complete revolution (360°) in direction of engine rotation until pointer of measuring tool (9) points to rib (18).
If the segmented discs (1, 2, 5, 6) are still not standing centrally in the openings of the position sensors of the camshafts,
↓
Set basic position of camshafts.
