  1. Make a color marking to indicate the installation position of the reinforcement (1b) of the propeller shaft intermediate bearing (1) relative to the frame floor assembly.
  2. Unscrew the screws/bolts (1a) at the reinforcement (1b) of the propeller shaft intermediate bearing (1).

IMPORTANT On vehicles with 3-piece propeller shaft, 4 screws/bolts must be removed at the reinforcement (1b) of the rear propeller shaft intermediate bearing (1).

  3. Loosely position screws/bolts (1a).

NOTES Screws/bolts (1a) may be tightened only after the flexible couplings are tightened at the transmission and rear axle differential.

Otherwise vibrations may be caused in the drive train and the propeller shaft center support bearing (1) may get damaged.

  4. Move propeller shaft intermediate bearing (1) to original installation position.
