Prepare Inner C-Pillar Side Wall - Ar63.10-P-0700-02LF

Model 222 

except code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version) 

The following steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be accomplished analogously on the right side in the event of damage.

1. Model 222.0/1

   except code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version) Mark separating point on Inner C-pillar side wall (1) and cut (area A).

   Transfer separation point from vehicle.

2. Model 222.0/1

   except code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version) Grind mating surfaces on inner C-pillar side wall (1) down to bare metal in crosshatched area.

3. Model 222.9

   except code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version) Mark separating point on inner C-pillar side wall (1) and cut (area C).

   Transfer separation point from vehicle.

4. Model 222.9

   except code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version) Grind mating surfaces on inner C-pillar side wall (1) down to bare metal in crosshatched area.

5. Grind mating surfaces on inner C-pillar side wall (1) down to bare metal in crosshatched inner C-pillar side wall.

   Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

6. Remove grinding dust.
7. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.

   Do not coat bonding surfaces with zinc dust paint (areas B).

   Otherwise adhesion problems may occur.

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

   except code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version) Mark separating point on C-pillar (3) and cut (area D).

9. Model 222.9

   except code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version) Grind mating surfaces on bottom inner C-pillar reinforcement (4) down to bare metal in crosshatched areas.

   Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

10. Model 222.9

    except code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version) Remove grinding dust.

11. Model 222.9

    except code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version) Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.

    Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

12. Grind mating surfaces on reinforcement (2) down to bare metal in the crosshatched areas.

    Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.
