The following steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be accomplished analogously on the right side in the event of damage.

- Grind cast bead (arrow A) down flat.
- Disconnect shackle (arrow B) from mounting console (2) and grind separating point down flat.
- Disconnect threaded pin (arrow C) from mounting console (3) and grind separating point down flat.
- Grind weld seams (D) down flat.
- Grind mating surfaces on wheel well (1) down to bare metal in crosshatched areas.
- Remove drill chips and grinding dust.
Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.
- Grind mating surfaces on wheel well (1) down to bare metal in crosshatched areas.
- Remove grinding dust.
- Grind cast bead (arrow F) down flat.
- Grind weld seam (D) down flat.

- Grind mating surfaces on wheel well (1) down to bare metal in crosshatched areas.
- Remove grinding dust.
Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.
- Grind mating surfaces on wheel well (1) down to bare metal in crosshatched areas.
- Remove grinding dust.

- Grind mating surfaces on wheel well (1) down to bare metal in crosshatched areas.
- Remove grinding dust.

- Apply body glue to wheel well in crosshatched areas.
Do not apply body glue at a distance of 1 cm around the hole (arrow E).
Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces. Observe manufacturer's specifications for drying and processing time of adhesive.
