The following steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be accomplished analogously on the right side in the event of damage.

- Install upper front longitudinal member (1), fit and fix in place.
- Drill Ø 6.7 mm rivet holes in upper front longitudinal member (1) (areas A, B and E).
Transfer position of present holes in body to new part (area A).
Drill rivet holes from inside through present rivet holes in body (areas B).
- Drill Ø 6.7 mm rivet holes in upper front longitudinal member (1) (areas C).
Only if a riveter for punching and flow form rivets is not used for installation.
Drill rivet holes from inside through present rivet holes in body.
- Drill Ø 6.7 mm rivet holes in upper front longitudinal member (1) (area D).
Counter-sink the rivet hole to obtain a flat surface, to allow the fender to be adjusted, if required.
Transfer position of present rivet hole in body to new part.
- Remove upper front longitudinal member (1).
- Deburr drill holes on upper front longitudinal member (1) and body on both sides.
- Remove drilling chips.
- Apply 2-component adhesive to body in crosshatched areas.
Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces. Observe manufacturer's specifications for drying and processing time of adhesive.

- Install upper front longitudinal member (1) and fix in place.
- Rivet upper front longitudinal member (1) with Ø 6.5x14.5 rivets (areas F).
- Rivet upper front longitudinal member (1) with Ø 6.5x12.5 rivets (areas G and K).
Flow form rivets with a clamping range of 3.35 mm to 4.1 "S2" can be used, if a riveter for punching and flow form rivets is used for installation (area K).
- Rivet upper front longitudinal member (1) with Ø 6.4x14 countersunk head rivet (area J).
- Upper front longitudinal member (1)
(areas L).
- Upper front longitudinal member (1)
(areas M).
- Rivet upper front longitudinal member (1) with Ø 6.5x14.5 rivets (area O).
- Rivet upper front longitudinal member (1) with Ø 6.5x12.5 rivets (area P).
Flow form rivets with a clamping range of 3.35 mm to 4.1 "S2" can be used, if a riveter for punching and flow form rivets is used for installation.

- Install strut (2), fit and fix in place.
- Drill Ø 6.7 mm rivet holes in strut (2) (area H1
).

Drill rivet holes from rear through present rivet holes in body.
- Drill Ø 6.7 mm rivet holes in strut (2) (areas H3 ).
- Remove strut (2).
- Drill rivet holes in strut (2) and deburr on body on both sides.
- Remove drilling chips.

- Apply 2-component adhesive to body in crosshatched areas.
