Separate Outer Side Wall - Ar63.10-P-0805-01GQ

MODEL 166

Dimensions: 

  1. Scribe separating point on outer side wall (1) and cut out (area A).

    IMPORTANT Measure dimension (a) only on model 166.0. On model 166.8 transfer connecting point from new part.

  2. Scribe separating point on outer side wall (1) and cut out (area B1 ).

    IMPORTANT Do not damage side longitudinal member below. Separating point is Y-marking (arrow).

  3. Expose spot welds on outer side wall (1) and cut out (areas C1 , C2 , C3 , C4 , D, E, F, G, H, I, J and K).
  4. Cut adhesive bead between outer rear wheel well and outer side wall (1) (area B2 ).
  5. Heat outer side wall (1) in crosshatched areas.

    IMPORTANT Cross-hatched areas are bonded.

    Only model 166.8 heat only on crosshatched areas X1 and X2 .

  6. Remove damaged outer side wall (1).
  7. Remove remaining adhesive from outer rear wheel well (area XX).

    IMPORTANT A maximum of 2 mm of adhesive residue may be left. Pull off loose adhesive material (remaining pieces which are not completely cut off).

  8. Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in the cross-hatched areas.

    IMPORTANT Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.
