Installing And Welding In Side Wall, C-Pillar - Ar63.10-P-0800-04GQX

MODEL 166.8 

1. Install inner rear side wall (2), fit and fix in place.
2. Drill 0 6.7 mm rivet holes in inner rear side wall (2) (areas E1, E2, E3, E4, E5).
3. Remove inner rear side wall (2).
4. Deburr rivet holes on both sides and apply zinc dust paint to insides of rivet connections.

5. Install inner rear side wall (2), fit and fix in place.
6. Rivet inner rear side wall (2) with Ø 6.5X12.5 blind rivets (areas G1, G2, G3 and G4).
7. Inner rear side wall (2) (areas F1 and F2).

8. Install outer C-pillar (1), fit and fix in place.
9. Drill Ø 6.7 mm rivet holes in outer C-pillar (1) (areas H1, H2, H3 and H4).
10. Remove outer C-pillar (1).
11. Deburr rivet holes on both sides and apply zinc dust paint to insides of rivet connections.
12. Inner rear side wall (2) (areas I).
13. Remove foam parts for areas J1, J2 and T3 from removed part.

    Transfer position of foam part to inner rear side wall (2) and apply sealant in this area. Fix removed foam part in place, apply sealant on both sides all the way around and spread with brush or spatula. Always replace damaged foam parts which can no longer be used. New foam parts are available only from the responsible Daimler AG departments.

14. Apply sealant to foam parts on vehicle (areas J1, J2 and J3).

    Apply sealant only after fitting outer C-pillar (1).

15. Install outer C-pillar (1), fit and fix in place.
16. Rivet outer C-pillar (1) with Ø 6.5X12.5 blind rivets (areas K, M and O).
17. Outer C-pillar (1) (areas L, N1, N2, P1, P3 and P4).
18. Remove shavings and drill chips.
