Customer Declaration, Replacement Of Front Passenger Seat, Deactivation Of ACSR, Certification - OF91.10-P-1000-02A

MODEL all 

Due to an express customer request as of............... the automatic child seat recognition (ACSR [AKSE]) on the passenger-side has been deactivated. There is an increased risk of injury for occupants due to this measure. In particular no front passenger airbag shutoff can take place as a result in spite of the use of an MB child seat (automatic front passenger airbag shutoff)

This is expressly pointed out to the customer who undertakes likewise to inform other users of the vehicle. The sign "Warning! This vehicle does not have automatic child seat recognition!" was mounted to the right-hand side of the armatures.

Exclusion of liability, exemption and measures

1. I hereby renounce all claims against Daimler AG, its associated subsidiaries and its sales partners, which arise - directly or indirectly - as a result of the modifications listed above and the associated increased risk of injury.
2. I hereby release Daimler AG from all third-party claims and indemnification as stated under (1).
3. Furthermore, I hereby commit myself to:
   1. Ensuring that
      • the above-separated specification is always kept with the operator's manual and
      • The user/purchaser of the vehicle are informed about this; and
   2. That any changes are immediately registered in the vehicle documents; and
   3. To inform the user/purchaser of the vehicle about the modification and the increased risk of injury associated with that.

• Inform the customer about the risks mentioned in the relevant version of the customer declaration "Replacement of front passenger seat"

Customer and workshop: 

1. Fill in the "Facts" form,
2. Fill in the customer declaration "Replacement of front passenger seat"
   • Leave modification date blank (important!)
   • Signature of customer + stamp and signature of workshop,
3. Customer identification

• Copy of the ID
• Copy of the approval certificate
• Copy of the disabled ID when installing a seat for the disabled

Send the filled-in forms (1+2) + copies (3) by fax to the decision-maker (GSP/TP)

Decision-maker (GSP/TPx): 

• Archiving of faxed documents (1 - 3)
• The decision-maker informs the workshop of the codes/code as well as the part number of the adhesive label "No automatic child seat recognition"

Workshop: 

• Attach the  adhesive label "No automatic child seat recognition"  to the passenger side of the dashboard (as model 169)
• Coding out  by means of code
• Careful documentation  in the FDOK [vehicle documentation system] (process + person implementing)
• Now enter  the date on the customer declaration which was previously left blank
• Copy the  customer declaration
• Cut off  and stick in the  upper section of the original in the operator's manual (start of the chapter on Safety)
• Transmit  the lower section + copy of the complete customer declaration by telefax + by letter to the decision-maker (GSP/TPx)
• Now enter  in the service booklet
• Customer's obligation:  Entry in the corresponding vehicle documents (Technical Inspection Association acceptance)
• Recommendation to the customer:  Notification of the insurance company

• the lower section of the original as well as
• Copy of the complete customer declaration with the decision-maker
