REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove rear bumper (1) Model 166.8 as of model year 2016 with code 235 (Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC) AR88.20-P-2200GQA
    Model 166.0 as of model year 2016 with code 235 (Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC)
Model 292 with code 235 (Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC)
AR88.20-P-2200GQ
2 Unlock locks (arrows) and remove corresponding parking system distance sensor (2) INSTALLATION NOTES :
Make sure that the decoupling ring (4) is installed at the correct position.
The parking system distance sensor (2) can otherwise malfunction.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : The decoupling ring (4) must be checked for damage and, if necessary, replaced.
 
3 Release and disconnect electrical connection (3) from corresponding parking system distance sensor (2)    
4 Install in the reverse order    
INSPECT Check     
5 Switch on ignition and PARKTRONIC, engage reverse gear and release parking brake IMPORTANT The PARKTRONIC automatically performs a self-test and the operational readiness is signaled via the warning indicator.
