| 1 | Switch on ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m) | ||
| 2 | Remove left rear door tweeter (H4/35) or right rear door tweeter (H4/36) | Fig 2 | |
| 3 | Unclip cover (1) | Fig 2 | |
| 4 | Remove screws (2) | ||
| 5 | Unclip door lining (3) from mounting clips (arrows) on rear door (4) | Position assembly wedge directly on mounting clips (arrows). Otherwise, the retaining tabs on the mounting clips (arrows) can tear out of door liner (3). |

| 6 | Detach door lining (3) horizontally to side from rear door (4) and guide release knob (5) out of door lining (3) | ||
| 7 | Disconnect electrical connectors (6) from left rear door control unit (N69/3) or right rear door control unit (N69/4) | ||
| 8 | Unhook inside door opener cable (7) on inside door handle (8) | ||
| 9 | Remove door lining (3) | ||
| 10 | Install in the reverse order |
