| 1 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m) | ||

| 6 | Pull pin (4) out of expansion rivet (3) with suitable pliers | ||
| 7 | Turn pin (4) through 90° and press in expansion rivet (3) until it latches | ||
| 8 | Grasp expansion rivet (3) with suitable pliers on pin (4) and pull out of door lining (5) | ||
| 9 | Unclip door lining (5) at mounting clips (arrows) from front door (6) | Guide assembly wedge as far as possible to mounting clips (arrows). Otherwise, the retaining tabs on the mounting clips (arrows) at the door lining (5) can be damaged. |

| 10 | Remove door lining (5) upward from front door (6) until sealing lip on door lining is detached from front door (6) | ||
| 11 | Remove door lining (5) horizontally from front door (6) until electrical connectors (8, 9) on left front door control unit (N69/1) or right front door control unit (N69/2) and inside door opener wire (10) are accessible | ||
| 12 | Guide out release knob (7) when detaching door lining (5) | ||
| 13 | Disconnect electrical connectors (8, 9) from left front door control unit (N69/1) or right front door control unit (N69/2) | ||
| 14 | Unhook inside door opener wire (10) from inner door handle actuation (11) | ||
| 15 | Remove door lining (5) | ||
| 16 | Install in the reverse order |
