Whenever possible, perform tests with the battery installed and connected.

If when testing, the battery tester shows a "Surface voltage detected" message, this indicates an increased voltage.

1. Switch off the ignition and keep the transmitter key out of the range of the transmitter (at least 2 m).
2. Switch off lighting and audio components.
3. Connect the battery charger to the battery.

   Do not connect the battery tester to jump start or charging terminal point, always connect it directly to the battery.

   Otherwise the test result may be incorrect.

   Once the battery tester is connected, the current measured battery voltage is displayed.

   For system noise,

   ↓

   Wait approx. 2 min until the bus systems are switched off and the quiescent current is minimized.

4. Carry out the test procedure according to the menu instructions of the battery tester.
5. After testing, print out the displayed test code and store it in an tamper-proof manner.
