Never spray corrosion protection on flames or hot, glowing objects and keep them well away from all potential sources of ignition. Use them only in well-ventilated rooms; wear respiratory protection.

Potential Risks 

Risk Of Explosion 

The solvents contained in anticorrosion agents (such as underfloor protective coatings, cavity wax, engine compartment wax) are flammable, and may combust in an explosion if sprayed onto hot, glowing components or open flames.

Risk Of Poisoning 

Inhaling spray and solvent vapors can lead to damage to the respiratory paths and lungs. This is indicated by symptoms of poisoning such as headache, breathing difficulty, nausea and unconsciousness.

With underfloor protection, the following dangers also occur:

Risk Of Injury 

If anticorrosion agents come in contact with the eyes they can cause severe eye damage.

In the event of frequent or prolonged contact with the skin, these substances can lead to inflammation of the skin because of its degreasing properties.

Fire Protection Measures 

Rescue, extinguishing and cleanup operations in areas contaminated by fumes or sulfuric gases should only be undertaken by individuals wearing respiratory protection. Do not inhale fumes or gases set free during explosion.
