Prepare Outer Side Longitudinal Member - Ar63.30-P-1050-02EW

The following steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be accomplished analogously on the right side in the event of damage.

1. Scribe separation points on outer side longitudinal member (1) (areas A, B and C).

   Transfer position on separation points from vehicle (areas A, B and C).

2. Cut outer side longitudinal member (1) at separation points (areas A, B and C).
3. Grind mating surfaces on outer side longitudinal member (1) down to bare metal in crosshatched areas.

   Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

4. Coat insides of spot welding flanges with zinc dust paint.
