Remove/Install Air Suspension Control Unit - AR32.22-P-6000GZ

MODEL 164 with CODE 489 (AIRMATIC) 

MODEL 166 as of model year 2016 with CODE 489 (AIRMATIC) except CODE P84 (Sports model) 

MODEL 166 up to model year 2016 with CODE 489 (AIRMATIC) 

Shown on model 164 with code 489 (AIRmatic)

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install

REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS
Connect diagnostic system and store basic data from AIRmatic control unit (6) Only when replacing the AIRmatic control unit (6). AD00.00-P-2000-04A
2 Switch off ignition and keep transmitter key at a location beyond transmitter range (at least 2 m)    
3 Remove front left floor covering (1) Model 164 with code 489 (AIRMATIC)
Model 166 as of model year 2016
with code 489 (AIRMATIC) except code P84 (Sports model)
AR68.20-P-2050GZ
Model 166 up to model year 2016 with code 489 (AIRMATIC) AR68.20-P-2050GQ
4 Unscrew nuts (2) and remove intermediate bottom (3)    
5 Release and disconnect electrical connectors (4) from AIRmatic control unit (6)    
6 Unscrew nuts (5) and remove AIRmatic contro unit (6)    
7 Install in the reverse order    
  Initial startup     
8 Perform SCN coding of AIRmatic control unit (6) Only after replacing the AIRmatic control unit (6). AR54.21-P-0015X
9 Transfer previously stored basic data to AIRmatic control unit (6) Only after replacing the AIRmatic control unit (6).  
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-04A
10 Perform initial startup of AIRmatic control unit (6) Only after replacing the AIRmatic control unit (6).
