Remove/Install Retaining Lock For Crankshaft/Ring Gear - AR03.30-P-5000OGR

ENGINE 642 in MODEL 166, 292 

	Install/remove
1	Remove respective section of the underfloor paneling		AR61.30-P-1001GQ
2	Remove cover (1)	Transmission 722.9 in model 166 with engine 642.826 Bolt, automatic transmission to engine	*BA27.40-P-1008-01A
3	Remove upper engine cover	Ensure correct seating of the engine cover.
4	Unclip pipework for Active Roll Stabilization on impact plate	Engine 642 in model 166, 292 with code 468 (ACTIVE CURVE SYSTEM) For turning the engine at the center bolt of the crankshaft The impact plate is installed in front of the belt drive.
5	Remove impact plate	For turning the engine at the center bolt of the crankshaft
	Check
6	Check the toothing of the ring gear of the clutch plate for wear and damage	Engine 642 in model 166, 292 To do this, crank engine at the center bolt of the crankshaft in the direction of engine rotation. Check the toothing for wear and damage: ↓ Replace clutch plate if necessary.	AR03.30-P-8001OGR
7	Risk of injury  . Moving parts can pinch, crush or, in extreme cases even sever extremities. Insert retaining lock (2) in the opening	No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating range of the mechanism when moving components. Allow retaining lock (2) to engage into ring gear; crank engine at center bolt of the crankshaft in direction of engine rotation if necessary.	AS00.00-Z-0009-01A
