2 Remove crankshaft position sensor   AR15.12-P-2133CD
3.1 Remove screw/bolts (1) on flywheel Engine 651 in model 172, 204, 207, 212 (except 212.098/298) with transmission 711.6

IMPORTANT Counterhold the crankshaft.
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, flywheel or two-mass flywheel to crankshaft		 *BA03.30-P-1002-01R 
    SPECIAL TOOL Engine 651 in model 172, 204, 207, 212 (except 212.098/298) with transmission 711.6 with code B03 (ECO start/stop function)

Use screw/bolts (1) with a 21.2 mm thick bolt head.
Otherwise strain cracks can arise on the Flex-plate.
NOTES
Engine 651 up to 7/14/11 in model 166, 172, 204, 207, 212 (except 212.098/298), 218, 221 with transmission 722
For both screw/bolts (1) next to the cylinder pin.
15.5 mm thick bolt heads, otherwise use
21.2 mm thick bolt heads.
Otherwise strain cracks can arise on the Flex-plate.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Replace screw/bolts (1) and perforated disc.
IMPORTANT Counterhold crankshaft.
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, flywheel or two-mass flywheel to crankshaft		 *BA03.30-P-1002-01R 
    SPECIAL TOOL Engine 651 in model 166, 172, 204, 207, 212 (except 212.098/298), 218, 221 with transmission 722
with code B03 (ECO start/stop function)

INSTALLATION IMPORTANT The cylinder pin dictates the installation position of the flywheel (2).		  
4.2 Remove drive plate Engine 651 in model 166, 172, 204, 207, 212 (except 212.098/298), 218, 221 with transmission 722

IMPORTANT Installation: The cylinder pin dictates the installation position of the drive plate.		  
INSPECT Check     
5 Check pilot bearing (3) in the flywheel (2) Engine 651 in model 172, 204, 207, 212 (except 212.098/298) with transmission 711.6
Engine 651 in model 204, 207, 212 (except 212.098/298) with transmission 716.6
In a case of noisy or rough running and wear
↓
install new flywheel (2).		  
6 Check rear crankshaft radial shaft sealing ring If damage is present:
↓
Replace crankshaft radial shaft sealing ring.		 AR03.20-P-3063CD 
7 Install in the reverse order    
FLYWHEEL, DRIVE PLATE, VIBRATION DAMPER, STARTER RING GEAR
