The telematics services control unit controls the various telematics services and establishes a mobile radio link with the Service Center via the emergency call system antenna(s).

The telematics services control unit controls the following functions:

• Provision of the telematics services
• Provision of the emergency call function
• Provision of an Internet connection

The telematics services control unit is a subscriber in the following bus systems:

• Diagnostic CAN
• Seat occupied recognition LIN

Location 

The telematics services control unit is located in the instrument panel on the driver's side.
