Partially Install Inner Side Wall With Outer Rear Wheelhouse And Weld In - Ar63.10-P-6050-03LWS

The following operation steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle on model 205.2 and must be performed on the right side in the same way in the event of damage.
- Install inner side wall (1) and fit.
- Install C-pillar.
- Install D-pillar.
- Install rear fender with portal straightener and fit.
- Fix inner side wall (1) in place.
- Remove portal bracket and rear fender.
- Remove D-pillar.
- Remove C-pillar.
- Drill Ø 6.7 mm rivet holes in inner side wall (1) and drill through present holes in body (area A).
- Remove inner sidewall (1).
- Deburr rivet holes on inner side wall (1) and body on both sides.
- Remove drilling chips.
- Apply 2-component adhesive to crosshatched area of body.
Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces. Observe manufacturer's specifications for drying and processing time of adhesive.
- Install inner side wall (1) and fix in place.
- Rivet inner side wall (1) with Ø 6.4x14 rivets (area C).

(area E and F).
Perform inert gas welding at intervals and allow to cool down in between. This reduces heat distortion.
- Grind inert gas weld down flat (area E and F).
Grind only on beaded areas and on contact surfaces of C-pillar and D-pillar.

- Clean weld joints no longer accessible after installing C-pillar, D-pillar and rear fender and coat with zinc dust paint.
