Check oil level at room temperature only and not when the rear axle differential (50) is at operating temperature. Otherwise, required oil could escape when the rear axle differential (50) is warm.
Cleaning
- Clean area around oil filler screw (50 g).
- Remove and replace oil filler screw (50g).
Check
- Check and correct oil level. Model 205.386/387/486/487

With the correct oil level the oil reaches up to the bottom edge of the threaded hole.
If necessary, add oil or drain off oil until the oil only drips out of the threaded hole.
Cleaning
- New oil filler screw (50g) and threaded hole in rear axle differential (50) with cleaning spray.
- Apply one drop of to lower third of thread of oil filler screw (50g).
- Screw oil filler screw (50g) immediately into the rear axle differential (50) and tighten to the specified torque
