Location 

The sound generator in the vehicle is at the front right above the lower front engine compartment paneling.

Task 

The sound generator serves in electric mode as an acoustic warning for other road users. Depending on speed and accelerator pedal position, the electric vehicle sound generator generates an audio signal between 0 and 30 km/h. At speeds greater than 30 km/h, the sound generator is deactivated, as the vehicle's rolling and wind noises are loud enough. The electric vehicle sound generator is connected to the hybrid CAN (CAN L).

IMPORTANT The electric vehicle SOGE also active in reverse gear and in idle dependent on the legal requirements in the USA.

IMPORTANT The sound generator can be deactivated using the menu in COMAND.
