	Risk of accident  when commissioning the vehicle due to a lack of braking effect when the service brake is operated for the first time after repair work.	Before starting the engine, actuate brake pedal several times until pressure is built up and maintained in the brake system.	AS42.50-Z-0002-01A

	Remove/install
1	Remove brakepads (2).		AR42.10-P-1610LWA
2	Remove electrical connector of right front brakepad wear sensor from brake caliper (1).	Only when removing right brake caliper (1). Model 205, 253 4-piston fixed-caliper brake Model 293 Bolt, brake wear sensor to brake caliper	*BA42.10-P-1002-10W
		Model 213 (except 213.061/261) 4-piston fixed-caliper brake Bolt, brake wear sensor to brake caliper	BA42.10-P-1002-10X
3	Remove brake hose (4).	: Bleed brake system only after installing brakepads (2).	AR42.10-P-0013LW
4	Unscrew bolts (3) and remove brake caliper (1).	: The new brake caliper (1) is shipped in prefilled condition and it may not be drained. Otherwise the brake caliper (1) cannot be vented. 	Check
5	Check brake caliper (1) and dust boots of brake pistons for leak tightness and damage.	In the event of a problem, ↓ replace brake caliper (1).
6	Check brake disk for wear and condition.

7	Install in the reverse order.

9	Operate brake pedal several times until the brakepads (2) make contact with the brake disks.	Firm resistance should be noticeable at the brake pedal.
	Check
10	Check and correct brake fluid level in brake fluid expansion reservoir.

11	Perform brake test on test stand.
