Notes On Installing Brake Hoses Topical Note - AH42.10-P-9406-01LWO

Model 205, 213, 238, 253, 257, 290

IMPORTANT Only brake hoses approved by Mercedes-Benz may be installed. When connecting brake hoses, make sure that the brake hose is not installed twisted (free of twists). An adequate distance from other axle components must be guaranteed in all driving situations.

IMPORTANT There are two elevated sections on the connector (arrow) of the brake hose which lock the brake hose in the multi-point profile of the bracket.

IMPORTANT Exception:

Under certain driving conditions (e.g. maximum steering angle and compression/rebound conditions) unstressed contact of the brake hose with fixed components is permissible.
