	Remove
1	Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m).
2	Remove screws (14) and remove lock striker (13).

		The contour of the front fender must align with the contour of the front passenger door (1) or project by a maximum of 1 mm.

4	Remove glove compartment (6).	When adjusting gap dimensions.

5	Remove door sill trim (7).	When adjusting gap dimensions.

6	Disconnect ground line from battery.	When adjusting gap dimensions.

7	Unclip front passenger side A-pillar fuse box (F1/3) from A-pillar (8) (arrows) and set aside.	When adjusting gap dimensions. Do not disconnect electric lines of front passenger side A-pillar fuse box (F1/3).
8	Remove upper insulation insert (9).	When adjusting gap dimensions. The upper A-pillar insulation insert (9) is inserted into the A-pillar (8) before the nuts (5).
	Adjust
9	Loosen nuts (4, 5) on A-pillar (8) one after the other, adjust front passenger door (1), and tighten corresponding nuts (4, 5) again.	When adjusting gap dimensions. Do not loosen nuts (4, 5) simultaneously. If the front passenger door (1) comes into contact with other components, the paint can be damaged. Do not tension hinges (2, 3) when adjusting. Otherwise the hinges (2, 3) can be damaged. Model 205.3/4 Three nuts (4) are installed. To loosen and tighten nuts (5) a socket wrench extension with a length of (a) ≥ 250 mm and a socket wrench joint are required in addition.

10	Loosen screws (11, 12) on front passenger door (1) one after the other, adjust transition to front fender, and tighten corresponding screws (11, 12) again. Note on calculation of tightening torque when using insertion or socket tools with various effective lengths	When adjusting transition to front fender. Do not loosen bolts (11, 12) simultaneously. If the front passenger door (1) comes into contact with other components, the paint can be damaged. Do not tension hinges (2, 3) when adjusting. Otherwise the hinges (2, 3) can be damaged. The contour of the front fender must align with the contour of the front passenger door (1) or project by a maximum of 1 mm. To tighten the screws (11, 12), use a torque wrench (15) in combination with a bent bit holder (16).	AH00.00-P-0015-01CW

11	Position lock striker (13) on B-pillar and screw in screws (14) up to stop.	It must still be possible to adjust lock striker (13).
12	Align lock striker (13) by carefully closing front passenger door (1).	Model 205.0/1/2, 213, 253, 293 The contour of the front passenger door (1) must align with the contour of the rear door or project by a maximum of 1 mm. Model 205.3/4 The contour of the front passenger door (1) must align with the contour of the side wall or project by a maximum of 1 mm.
13	Tighten screws (14) of lock striker (13) on B-pillar.	Bolt, lock striker to B-pillar	*BA72.10-P-1004-01W
	Install
14	Repair paint damage on bolt heads of screws (11, 12).	If the transition to the front fender is adjusted.
15	Protect front passenger door (1) and A-pillar (8) in area of both hinges (2, 3) against corrosion.	Wax for engine compartment (400 ml spray can)	*BR00.45-Z-1018-05A
16	Install upper insulation insert (9).	If gap dimensions have been adjusted.
17	Clip right A-pillar fuse box (F1/3) into A-pillar (8).	If gap dimensions have been adjusted.
18	Install door sill trim (7).	If gap dimensions have been adjusted.
