	Remove/install
1	Remove roof lining (1).		AR68.30-P-4300LWS
2	Unclip cover (2) and remove.
3	Secure liftgate (6) with support (7).	Support	Fig 1
4	Lift retainer (3) with suitable screwdriver and remove tappet (4) of the trunk lid/liftgate control drive unit (M51/3) from the ball head (5).	Do not remove locking device (3). Otherwise, the retainer (3) preload can be lost. : Install plunger (4) on trunk lid/liftgate control drive unit (M51/3) with installed retainer (3) on ball head (5).
5	Remove screws (8).	Bolt, drive for automatic liftgate to roof frame	*BA72.20-P-1006-02N
6	Detach electrical connection (9).
7	Remove trunk lid/liftgate control drive unit (M51/3) in the direction of the arrow.	: Ensure that square nuts (10) and plastic clips (11) are seated correctly in trunk lid/liftgate control drive unit (M51/3).
8	Install in the reverse order.
9	Normalize trunk lid/liftgate control drive unit (M51/3) with vehicle diagnosis system.	When replacing trunk lid/liftgate control drive unit (M51/3).
