Check All Visible Parts In Engine Compartment For Damage And Fluid Loss - AP00.20-P-0055E

REMOVING Remove     
1 Remove left rear engine compartment trim (3).    
2 Remove right rear engine compartment trim (2).    
3 Remove engine cover (1). Model 213, 238, 253 (except 253.99), 257, 290  
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   Engine 177 in model 213 AR01.10-P-2405MNE
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   Engine 256 in model 257 AR01.10-P-2405MSA
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   Engine 654 in model 213, 238 AR01.10-P-2405OLC
    Model 290 with engine 177 AP01.10-P-2405-01E
    Model 290 with engine 256.9 AP01.10-P-2405-01F
INSPECT Check     
4 Check visible systems and component parts in the engine compartment for condition, leaks and mounting. IMPORTANT Engine and mounted major assemblies,
Exhaust system,
Cooling system,
Heater and A/C system,
Fuel system,
Steering,
Brake system.
If problems occur,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
5 Check visible systems and component parts in the engine compartment for condition, leaks and mounting. Equipment-dependent.
IMPORTANT Inerting system,
Hybrid components,
Clutch operation,
Stationary heater.
If problems occur,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
6 Check that visible lines and hoses in the engine compartment are in good condition, are not leaking, are routed correctly and are attached securely. IMPORTANT Engine and mounted major assemblies,
Exhaust system,
Cooling system,
Heater and A/C system,
Fuel system,
Steering,
Brake system,
Electrical component parts.
If problems occur,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
7 Check that visible lines and hoses in the engine compartment are in good condition, are not leaking, are routed correctly and are attached securely. Equipment-dependent.
IMPORTANT Inerting system,
Hybrid components,
Clutch operation,
Stationary heater.
If problems occur,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
8 Check visible systems, component parts and body panels, lines and hoses in the engine compartment on vehicle underside for damage, routing, leaks, mounting and corrosion. Model 213, 238, 257, 290 AP00.20-P-0054I 
    Model 253 (except 253.99) AP00.20-P-0054G
INSTALLING Install     
9 Install engine cover (1). Model 213, 238, 253 (except 253.99), 257, 290  
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   Engine 177 in model 213 AR01.10-P-2405MNE
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   Engine 256 in model 257 AR01.10-P-2405MSA
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   Engine 654 in model 213, 238 AR01.10-P-2405OLC
    Model 290 with engine 177 AP01.10-P-2405-01E
    Model 290 with engine 256.9 AP01.10-P-2405-01F
10 Install right rear engine compartment trim (2).    
11 Install left rear engine compartment trim (3).
