MODIFICATION NOTES

12.11.2020 Launch workshop menu. Operation step 8.2  

Shown on model 257 up to model year 2021

Set picture to center position 

  1. Press "Back" button (2) repeatedly until menu selection is shown on the instrument cluster (4).
  2. Using wiper blade sweeps on finger navigation pad (3), select menu item "HUD" and confirm on finger navigation pad (3).
  3. Using wiper blade sweeps on finger navigation pad (3), select menu item "Position" and confirm on finger navigation pad (3).
  4. Using wiper blade sweeps on finger navigation pad (3), select stage "0" and confirm on finger navigation pad (3).

    Call up Workshop menu and Test image 1 

  5. Press "Back" button (2) repeatedly until menu selection is shown on the instrument cluster (4).
  6. Using wiper blade sweeps on finger navigation pad (3), select menu item "Trip" and confirm on finger navigation pad (3).
  7. Using wiper blade sweeps on finger navigation pad (3), select standard display "Total distance".
    1. Model 257

      up to model year 2021

      with code 463 (Head-up display)

      Model 290

      with code 463 (Head-up display)

      Press and hold "Back" (2) button for approx. 1.5 s then press the finger navigation pad (3).

      IMPORTANT The workshop menu with the menu items is shown on the instrument cluster (4): "Head-up display".

    2. Model 257

      as of model year 2021

      with code 463 (Head-up display)

      Press and hold "Main menu" button for at least 5 s, release it, then press and hold down finger navigation pad (3) for at least 3 s. Then press "Main menu" button and navigate to the left using arrow buttons on finger navigation pad (3).

      IMPORTANT The workshop menu with the menu item is shown on the multifunction display (4): "Head-up display".

  8. Using wiper blade sweeps on finger navigation pad (3), select menu item "Head-up Display" and confirm on finger navigation pad (3).
  9. Using wiper blade sweeps on finger navigation pad (3), select menu item "Test image" and confirm on finger navigation pad (3).

    IMPORTANT "Off (original picture)" is shown on the instrument cluster (4).

  10. To make changes, press the finger navigation pad (3).
  11. Using wiper blade sweeps on finger navigation pad (3), select "Test image 1" and confirm on finger navigation pad (3).

    IMPORTANT Test image 1 is shown on the windshield.

  12. Check and assess test image 1.

    IMPORTANT The assessment must be made by at least two people. The setting is OK if test image 1 is displayed as shown, without any distortion.

    If test image 1 is shown correctly,

    Press finger navigation pad (3), Using swiping movements on finger navigation pad (3), select "Off (original picture)", Press on finger navigation pad (3) again.

    Press "Back" button (2) repeatedly until menu selection is shown in instrument cluster (4) and switch off ignition.

    IMPORTANT The workshop menu can only be completed by switching off the ignition.

    If test image 1 is not shown correctly,

    Continue with operation step 14.

  13. To make changes, press the finger navigation pad (3).
  14. Using wiper blade sweeps on finger navigation pad (3), select "Test image 7" and confirm on finger navigation pad (3).

  15. Check and assess test image 7.

    IMPORTANT The assessment must be made by at least two people.

    The setting is OK if "Test image 7" is displayed as shown.

    If test image 7 is shown correctly,

    Press finger navigation pad (3),

    Using swiping movements on finger navigation pad (3), select "Off (original picture)", Press on finger navigation pad (3) again.

    Press "Back" button (2) repeatedly until menu selection is shown in instrument cluster (4) and switch off ignition.

    IMPORTANT The workshop menu can only be completed by switching off the ignition.

    If test image 7 is not shown correctly,

    Continue with operation step 17.

    IMPORTANT If test image 7 was not correctly shown the parameters in the Workshop menu must be reset.

    Reset parameters in workshop menu 

  16. Press "Back" button (2).
  17. Using wiper blade sweeps on finger navigation pad (3), select menu item "Parameters" and confirm on finger navigation pad (3).
  18. Using wiper blade sweeps on finger navigation pad (3), select menu item "Warp configuration" and confirm on finger navigation pad (3).

    IMPORTANT Parameters are reset.

  19. Call up test image 1 and test image 7 again and assess them.

    If test image 1 and test image 7 are shown correctly,

    Press finger navigation pad (3),

    Using swiping movements on finger navigation pad (3), select "Off (original picture)", Press on finger navigation pad (3) again.

    Press "Back" button (2) repeatedly until menu selection is shown in instrument cluster (4) and switch off ignition.

    IMPORTANT The workshop menu can only be completed by switching off the ignition.

    If test image 1 or test image 7 is not shown correctly,

    select the individual parameters under the menu item "Parameters" and correct them accordingly using the "+" and "-" button (1) or the finger navigation pad (3).
