Apply Thermal Compound To DC/DC Converter For 48V On-Board Electrical System - AR54.10-P-1351-01FR

IMPORTANT Before beginning the following work instruction, old thermal compound must be removed completely from the DC/DC converter control unit and the control unit must be cleaned.

  1. Mark fill level of thermal compound on double cartridge (1).
  2. Break off latch (2) and open double cartridge (1) by doing so.

    IMPORTANT Note maximum of 1 h processing time.

  3. Screw mixing spout (3) onto double cartridge (1).
  4. Insert double cartridge (1) into a commercially available 50 ml double-cartridge gun and completely fill mixing spout (3) with thermal compound.

  5. Apply half of the cartridge content, approx. 6.2 ml, onto area (B) of DC/DC converter control unit (N83/1).
  6. Apply 60 % of the remaining cartridge content, approx. 4.1 ml, onto area (A) of DC/DC converter control unit (N83/1).
  7. Apply remaining cartridge content, approx. 2.6 ml, onto area (C) of DC/DC converter control unit (N83/1).

    IMPORTANT Approx. 2.1 ml of thermal compound is left in the mixing spout.
