	Remove
1	Release fuse and relay module on driver's side.
			AR54.15-P-0003FR
2	Release door seals from entrance area at left and right.
3	Remove door sills at front left and right and remove any adhesive residue.
Topical note	Notes on removing adhesive residues and foil on paint and metal surfaces with surface conditioning disks		AH00.00-P-0013-01AK
		Left and right door sill moldings are no longer required. Use commercially available surface conditioning disk with dia. 100 mm. Mounting wedge	Fig 1
4	Remove front floor covering on driver's side.

5	Remove front floor covering on front passenger side.
			AR68.80-P-0008FR
6	Remove front footrest on front passenger side.
	Install
7	Install illuminated door sill moldings control unit.		AZ82.20-P-0001-05FR
		Self-adhesive felt strip 40 2 mm	*BR00.45-Z-1074-01A
		Binder Duotec® Pilz in Pilz Klett - with adhesive 32	*BR00.45-Z-1084-02A
8	Install wiring harness of illuminated door sill moldings.		AZ82.20-P-0005-01FR
Topical note	Notes on the use of paint scraping nuts on ground connections		AH00.19-P-1000-20A
		Right front footwell ground point	*BA00.19-P-1013-02D
9	Install front left illuminated door sill molding (E17/47) and front right illuminated door sill molding (E17/48).		AZ82.20-P-0005-10FR
		Cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1025-04A
	Check
10	Carry out operational check.	Front left illuminated door sill molding (E17/47) or front right illuminated door sill molding (E17/48) is switched on by opening corresponding front door. Automatic shutoff takes place after approx. 5 min.
	Install
11	Install remaining parts.
	Update Vehicle Documentation (VeDoc)
12	Attach note "illuminated door sill moldings retrofitted as per AZ82.20-P-0005FR" under field organization texts to DG 68 and DG 82.
