	Risk of injury caused by pinching or crushing when working on springs or spring bodies that are under tension	Use only approved tensioning devices; additionally screen off hazardous area if necessary. 	Remove
1	Remove suspension strut (1)		AR32.25-P-1017NKB
	Disassemble/assemble
2	Tension front spring (7) and disassemble suspension strut (1)		AR32.20-P-0200-05NKB
		Self-locking nut, spring cup to piston rod	*BA32.25-P-1001-04J
		Tensioning device	Figure
		Clamping plate	Fig 2
		Adapter plate	Fig 3
3	Remove stop buffer (8) and rubber insert (9) from shock absorber (10)	When replacing the shock absorber (10).
4	Release front spring (7) and remove		AR32.20-P-0200-05NKB
		Observe installation position of front spring (7).
		Self-locking nut, spring cup to piston rod	*BA32.25-P-1001-04J

5	Remove the spring cup (3) from the front spring (7)
6	Remove thrust bearing (4) from spring cup (3)	Replace thrust bearing (4) if necessary.
7	Remove rubber ring (6) with dust boot (5)	Check rubber ring (6) and dust boot (5) for damage and replace if necessary.
	Check
8	Check shock absorber (10)		AR32.25-P-0121CW
8	Check shock absorber (10)	A light oil film on the piston rod is acceptable. Dispose of shock absorber (10) in the event of more severe leakage.
9	Assemble in the reverse order
	Install
10	Install suspension strut (1)		AR32.25-P-1017NKB
11	Perform wheel alignment check		AR40.20-P-0200NKB
