Replace radial sealing rings on side of rear axle center assembly - AR35.31-P-0545MTA

MODEL 117, 156, 176, 246 with CODE M005 (4MATIC)

	Remove/install
1	Remove corresponding rear axle shaft		AR35.30-P-0621MTA
2	Pry radial shaft sealing ring (1) using suitable tool out of rear axle differential (2)	Do not damage seat of radial shaft sealing ring (1) in rear axle differential (2). Otherwise leaks may occur. Coat sealing lip of radial shaft sealing ring (1) with universal hypoid gear oil. Press in radial shaft sealing ring (1) using drift (01) until the drift (01) makes contact with the rear axle differential (2).

	Clean
3	Clean seat of radial shaft sealing ring (1) in rear axle differential (2)
	Check
4	Check seat surface of radial shaft sealing ring (1) in rear axle differential (2) for signs of damage
5	Install in the reverse order
	Check
6	Check oil level in rear axle differential (2) and correct if necessary	MODEL 117, 156, 176, 246 with CODE M005 (4MATIC)

7	Check rear axle differential (2) for leaktightness
