	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
	Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts		AH00.00-N-0001-01A
	Notes on repair work on suspension components		AH00.00-P-0100-01A
	Remove/install
1	Remove cover on rear axle	MODEL 242 with ENGINE 780
		Remove/install underbody paneling	AR61.30-P-1001NKB
2	Detach rear left or right complete wheel
			AP40.10-P-4050AK
3	Unscrew nuts securing tie rod (1) to steering knuckle and rear axle carrier	Self-locking nut, tie rod to wheel carrier	*BA35.20-P-1001-04I
		Self-locking nut, tie rod to rear axle carrier	*BA35.20-P-1002-04I
4	Remove bolts (2) and take out tie rod (1)	Observe installation position of bolts (2) and tie rod (1).
	Check
5	Check tie rod (1)	Check the elastomer bearing of the tie rod (1) for wear and replace the tie rod (1) if necessary.
6	Unclip, remove and modify cover (3)	When replacing tie rod (1).
7	Install in the reverse order
8	Perform wheel alignment check		AR40.20-P-0200NKB
