Adjust rear door - AR72.12-P-0650NKC

DANGER Risk of injury  caused by fingers being jammed or pinched when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/rear-end door or sliding roof. No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area when the components are moving. AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
INSPECT Check     
1 Check gaps on rear door (1) all the way around IMPORTANT Dimensions "I, L"

  Adjust     
2 Open rear door (1)    
3 Mark position of lock striker (2) IMPORTANT Markings are present on the C-pillar serving for positioning and precise adjustment of the locking eye (2) in the horizontal and vertical planes. To make assembly easier, mark the position of the locking eye (2).  
4 Unscrew bolts (3) and remove locking eye (2)    
5 Loosen bolts on B-pillar (4, 6) adjust corresponding gap dimensions by moving rear door (1) NOTES
Carefully move rear door (1).
If the rear door (1) comes into contact with the rear fender, the paint can be damaged.
IMPORTANT Dimensions "I, L"

6 Tighten bolts on B-pillar (4, 6) TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, door hinge to B-pillar *BA72.12-P-1002-01P 
7 Loosen bolts on inner door panel (5, 7)    
8 Adjust transition between front door and rear door (1) by moving rear door (1). IMPORTANT The contour of the front door (1) must align with the contour of the rear door or project by a maximum of 1 mm.  
9 Tighten bolts on inner door panel (5, 7) TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, door hinge to rear door *BA72.12-P-1001-01P 
10 Insert lock striker (2) and screw in bolts (3) up to stop IMPORTANT It should still be possible to adjust the lock striker (2).  
11 Adjust transition between front door (1) and rear door by moving locking eye (2) IMPORTANT The contour of the front door (1) must align with the contour of the rear door or project by a maximum of 1 mm.  
12 Tighten bolts (3) for locking eye (2) TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, lock striker to C-pillar *BA72.12-P-1005-01P 
13 Repair paint damage on bolt heads on B-pillar (4, 6) and bolts on inner door panel (5, 7) with touch-up paint pen.    
14 Close rear door (1)
