REMOVING Remove     
1 Fold down folding table. Model 213.1 except code 555 (AMG-Performance Seat) Only on passenger seat.  
2 Remove screws and remove folding table. Model 213.1 except code 555 (AMG-Performance Seat) Only on passenger seat.  
3 Unclip cover (2) from seat backrest trim (1).    
4 Move driver seat or front passenger seat all the way back and up.    
5 Cover inner trim (3), outer trim (5) and center console (9) with a suitable rag or mask off with suitable tape.    
6 Insert release tool between seat backrest trim (1) and inner trim (3) as shown and position on retaining plates of inner latch (4) and rubber strap deflector. IMPORTANTSPECIAL TOOL
Insert release tool approx. 11 cm.

7 Pull seat backrest trim (1) upwards and backwards, turn release tool and release inner latch (4). NOTES
Make sure that the SPECIAL TOOL release tool is positioned on the retaining plates for the inner latching (4) and the rubber strap deflector. Otherwise the seat backrest trim (1) may be damaged.

8 Insert release tool between seat backrest trim (1) and outer trim (5) as shown and position on retaining plates of outer latch (6) and rubber strap deflector. IMPORTANTSPECIAL TOOL
Insert release tool approx. 11 cm.

9 Pull seat backrest trim (1) upwards and backwards, turn release tool and release outer latch (6). NOTES
Make sure that the SPECIAL TOOL release tool is positioned on the retaining plates for the outer latching (6) and the rubber strap deflector. Otherwise the seat backrest trim (1) may be damaged.

10 Carefully pull inner side bolster (7) and outer side bolster (8) of seat backrest trim (1) to one side and guide over inner trim (3) and outer trim (5).    
11 Remove seat backrest trim (1) downwards.    
INSTALLING Install     
12 Position seat backrest trim (1) at top of seat backrest frame.    
13 Carefully pull inner side bolster (7) and outer side bolster (8) of seat backrest trim (1) to one side and guide over inner trim (3) and outer trim (5).    
14 Push seat backrest trim (1) upwards and engage inner latch (4) and outer latch (6). NOTES
Make sure that the seat backrest lines are outside of the clamping range of the seat backrest trim (1).
Otherwise the seat backrest trim (1), inner latching (4), outer latching (6) or seat backrest lines may be damaged.
 
NOTES
The hooks (10) of the seat backrest trim (1) must be fully located in the upper supports of the seat backrest frame before being engaged. Otherwise the inner latching (4), outer latching (6) and the seat-back lining (1) may become damaged.
 
15 Remove rag or adhesive tape from inner trim (3), outer trim (5) and center console (9).    
16 Move back driver seat or front passenger seat.    
17 Clip cover (2) onto seat backrest trim (1).    
18 Secure folding table and fold up. Model 213.1 except code 555 (AMG-Performance Seat) Only on passenger seat.
