| Remove/Install | |||
| 1 | Switch on ignition. | ||
| 2 | Completely open soft top. | ||
| 3 | Move steering column to foremost and topmost position. | When removing driver seat. | |
| 4 | Adjust front seat (1) forward. | ||
| 5 | Unscrew bolts (2). | Bolt, front seat to vehicle floor |

| 6 | Move front seat (1) to the rear and all the way down. | ||
| 7 | Remove bolts (5). | Bolt, front seat to vehicle floor |

| 8 | Disconnect ground line from battery. | AR54.10-P-0003LW | |
| 9 | Tilt back front seat (1). | ||
| 10 | Remove cover (7). | ||
| 11 | Unclip electrical wiring harness (6) at seat frame. | ||
| 12 | Disconnect electrical connectors (8, 9, 10). | The quantity depends on the vehicle equipment. |

| 13 | Cover center console, steering wheel, door entry sill and door sill. | ||
| 14 | Remove front seat (1) from vehicle, put down and secure to prevent it from tipping over. | Carefully remove front seat (1) from vehicle. Otherwise vehicle components may be damaged. Helper required. Ensure that lock pins of guide rails in vehicle floor are seated correctly. Ensure that covers (3, 4) are seated correctly. |
