	Remove
1	Remove front center engine compartment lining (1), center engine compartment lining (2 and rear engine compartment lining (3).

	Check
2	Check visible systems, powertrain components, lines, hoses on the underfloor for damage, correct routing, leaks, correct mounting and corrosion.	Brake system, Spring elements, Shock absorber, Suspension lines and sensors, Steering, Front axle, Engine and mounted major assemblies, Cooling system, Heater and A/C system, Body reinforcements, Exhaust system, Exhaust aftertreatment, Heat shields, Actuator motors of exhaust gas flaps, Rear axle, Rear axle shafts with boots, Rear axle differential, Fuel system. If problems occur, ↓ rectify the problems. After obtaining special order.
3	Check visible systems, components, lines and hoses on the underfloor for damage, correct routing, leaks, correct mounting and corrosion	Equipment-dependent.
		Hybrid components, Stationary heater, Manual Transmission, Clutch operation, Automatic Transmission, Boots of front axle shafts (4MATIC), Front axle Transmission (4MATIC), Transfer case (4MATIC). If problems occur, ↓ rectify the problems. After obtaining special order.
4	Check underfloor and visible component parts on underfloor for damage, routing, mounting and corrosion.	Wheel well trim Underfloor paneling, Underfloor. If problems occur, ↓ rectify the problems. After obtaining special order.
5	Check visible body panels for corrosion and deformation.	Wheel well body panels, Front axle carrier, Rear axle carrier, Chassis steering arms, Underfloor body panels, Body reinforcements. Check rear axle carrier in area of welded-on mounting supports for thrust arm/tie rod for corrosion/perforation. If problems occur, ↓ proceed in accordance with the country-specific regulations for mobility and body shell complaints.
6	Check front and rear diagonal struts for corrosion and deformation.	Model 205.4 If problems occur, ↓ proceed in accordance with the country-specific regulations for mobility and body shell complaints.
7	Check vehicle underside for evidence of driving over obstacles or damage caused by contact with the vehicle underside.	If it is suspected that obstacles have been driven over or bottoming damage has occurred, ↓ Check steering for mechanical damages. If the steering is mechanically damaged, ↓ Replace steering for safety reasons. After obtaining special order.
	Install
8	Install front center engine compartment lining (1), center engine compartment lining (2) and rear engine compartment lining (3).
