| 1 | Release and fold over seat backrest (2). | ||
| 2 | Unclip cover (3). | Unclip cover (3) first in direction of rear door and then upwards. Otherwise, the cover (3) may be damaged. |

| 3 | Unhook cover (4) in area of seat backrest lock (1). | ||
| 4 | Detach seat backrest padding (5) and cover (4) far enough so that the seat backrest lock (1) and the screws (6) are accessible. | Detach seat backrest padding (5) and cover (4) carefully. Damage can otherwise occur. |

| 6 | Remove seat backrest lock (1) with connected electrical connectors (7) from seat backrest (2). | ||
| 7 | Detach electrical connector (7). | ||
