Remove/install
- Remove screw/bolt (1) and remove heat shield (2) downward.
Transmission 722.9 in model 205, 217, 222

Push the heat shield (2) under the leaf spring (3).
- Transmission 722.9 in model 222
Pry retaining clip (4) with cable tie out of heat shield (2).
- Remove screw/bolt out of leaf spring (3) and remove leaf spring (3).
When replacing the transmission.
- Install in the reverse order.
