Disassemble And Assemble Electrohydraulic Controller Unit - AR27.19-P-0220EWM

REMOVING Remove     
1 Read out fully integrated transmission control unit (Y3/8n4) and save adaptation values. When replacing fully integrated transmission control unit (Y3/8n4).

REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS   Transmission 725.0 in model 257, 290

IMPORTANT Before removing fully integrated transmission control unit (Y3/8n4), read out and save the adaptation values stored there using the diagnostic system.
If communication with the previously integrated transmission control unit (Y3/8n4) is not possible,

replace complete electrohydraulic controller unit (Y3/8).		 AD00.00-P-2000-06LWO
2 Remove electrohydraulic controller unit.   AR27.19-P-0200EWM 
DISASSEMBLINGASSEMBLING Disassemble/assemble     
3 Unscrew and remove screws (1a to 11a) of fully integrated transmission control unit (Y3/8n4) from shift valve housing (2). IMPORTANTAssembly:  Observe tightening sequence. Tighten screws (1a to 11a) in alphanumeric sequence.
IMPORTANTAssembly:  Replace screws (1a to 11a).		  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw/bolt, control unit to shift valve body cover *BA27.19-P-1005-01D 
4 Unscrew and remove screws (1b to 3b) of auxiliary oil pump (3) from fully integrated transmission control unit (Y3/8n4). IMPORTANTAssembly:  Observe tightening sequence. Tighten screws (1b to 3b) in alphanumeric sequence.
IMPORTANTAssembly:  Replace screws (1b to 3b).		  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw/bolt, electrical connection for auxiliary oil pump to control unit *BA27.19-P-1004-01D 
5 Remove fully integrated transmission control unit (Y3/8n4). IMPORTANTAssembly:  Make sure that fully integrated transmission control unit (Y3/8n4) is positioned correctly on shift valve housing (2).  
6 Remove sealing ring (4) from shift valve housing (2).    
REFER TO CAPACITIES & SPECIFICATIONS Automatic transmission fluids (ATF) (specification 236.17)   BB00.40-P-0236-17A
    NOTESAssembly: 
Observe Specifications for Operating Fluids.
Otherwise the transmission will be damaged.
IMPORTANTAssembly:  Replace the sealing ring (4) and moisten with transmission oil.		  
7 Assemble in the reverse order.    
INSTALLING Install     
8 Install electrohydraulic controller unit.   AR27.19-P-0200EWM 
9 Transfer stored adaptation values to fully integrated transmission control unit (Y3/8n4) and perform SCN coding. When replacing fully integrated transmission control unit (Y3/8n4).
