The following operation steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle and can be accomplished analogously on the left and right side of the vehicle.
- Align front door trim piece (2) on front door and fix position in place with adhesive strips.
The gap (A) between the front door trim piece (2) and outer edges of the front door must be uniform.
- Align rear door trim piece (3) on rear door in relation to front door trim piece (2) and fix position in place with adhesive strips.
The gap (A) between the rear door trim piece (3) and outer edges of the rear door must be uniform.
- Align front trim piece (1) on front fender in relation to front door trim piece (2) and fix position in place with adhesive strips.
The gap (A) between the front trim piece (1) and outer edges of the fender must be uniform.
- Align rear trim piece (4) on rear fender and fix position in place with adhesive strips.
The gap (A) between the rear trim piece (4) and the outer edges of the rear fender must be uniform.
- Cut all adhesive strips and remove all prepositioned trim pieces.
Carefully cut adhesive strips with suitable knife. Damage can otherwise occur.
- Slightly remove protective foils (5) on adhesive strips at ends an bend at an angle of 45° in direction of outer edges of front trim piece (1), front door trim piece (2), rear door trim piece (3) and rear trim piece (4).
- Position front door trim piece (2) on front door using previously attached adhesive strips and fix in place with adhesive strips.
- Remove protective foils (5) on front door trim piece (2) in increments of 45 to 20 cm and press on front door trim piece (2).
When pressing on, ensure that the pressure is applied directly on the adhesive tape.
Otherwise there may be adhesion problems.
The maximum adhesive strength is only reached after approx. 72 h at 20°C. Prevent any mechanical stress. Avoid any contact with moisture (e.g. rain, fog, carwash) within the first 24 hours.
- Remove all adhesive strips.
- Position rear door trim piece (3) on rear door using previously attached adhesive strips and fix in place with adhesive strips.
- Remove protective foils (5) on rear door trim piece (3) in increments of 45 to 20 cm and press on rear door trim piece (3).
