Retrofit Rear Diffuser On Bumper - AZ88.30-P-0020-02LWG

Model 253.3/9 

  1. Position the rear diffuser basic carrier (8) and align.

    IMPORTANT Helper required.

  2. Drill the hole (9) indicated in the center at the top of the rear diffuser basic carrier (8) with a diameter-4.0 mm through the bumper.

    IMPORTANT Remove the protective foil in the area where the hole is to be drilled.

    IMPORTANT Ensure that it is correctly aligned.

  3. Drill the holes (9) indicated in the center at the top of the rear diffuser basic carrier (8) to the outside with a diameter-4.0 mm through the bumper.

    IMPORTANT Ensure that it is correctly aligned. Remove drill shavings.

  4. Rivet the rear diffuser basic carrier (8) from the inside outward in clockwise direction.

    IMPORTANT The rivets are included in the scope of supply.

  5. Remove the protective foil from the rear diffuser basic carrier (8).

  6. Position the rear diffuser trim (10) on the rear diffuser basic carrier (8) and align.

    IMPORTANT There must not be any gap between the rear diffuser trim (10) and the rear apron. The bonding area must make full contact.

  7. Remove protective foils (12) of adhesive strips from the rear diffuser basic carrier (8) in increments of 5 cm from the center outward and press the rear diffuser trim (10) onto the exposed bonding surface on the rear diffuser basic carrier (8) in between.

  8. Use the MR1 load roller from 3M™ to roll on the rear diffuser trim (10) in the bonding area from the inside outward (arrows) with a press-on force of 50 N.

    IMPORTANT Rolling activates the adhesive in the tape, allowing the full adhesive power to take effect.

    IMPORTANT Remove the protective foil from the rear diffuser trim (10).

  9. Drill the holes (13) indicated in the center at the top of the rear diffuser trim (10) to the outside with a diameter-4.5 mm through the bumper.

    IMPORTANT Ensure that it is correctly aligned. Remove drill shavings.

  10. Rivet the rear diffuser trim (10) from the inside outward in clockwise direction.

    IMPORTANT The rivets are included in the scope of supply.
